-Gauge and sample well MW-12 annually(2ndQ)
analyze samples for TPHG,BTEX,MTBE,and bio-parameters
-Discontinue monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2,MW-3,MW-5,MW-8,MW-10,and MW-11
-Discontinue mapping the potentiometric surface
-Report monitoring results annually
The proposed groundwater monitoring program will not compromise Chevron's ability to effectively
evaluate groundwater conditions and will provide the information in the most cost effective manner.
Subsequent changes to the proposed program may be necessary depending on results of future evaluations.
Pending approval from your agency,Chevron will implement this proposal beginning second quarter of
this year.
In addition, Chevron will pursue access to the monitoring wells located at 2081 Country Club Drive
(Kwikee Foods) in order to collect groundwater samples. The obtained data will be used to determine the
degree of plume commingling and/or the extent of plume migration in the eastern direction. Chevron also
plans to determine the location and burial depth of all underground utility corridors in the vicinity of the
subject site. This information combined with information regarding offsite receptors, will provide
Chevron with a better understanding of complete exposure pathways and susceptible receptors for a
preliminary health risk screening. Additional information will be compiled and will be used to determine
the most appropriate plan of corrective action for the subject site.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(510)842-8695.
Sincerely,
.1 /° 477/,)-
Brett L.
