Stockton, CA
Attached Well Development Report(Blaine Tech, 7/18/95)
Attached Groundwater Monitoring Report(Blaine Tech,7/25/95)
Dear Mr. Infurna:
Attached you will find a report dated July 18, 1995,which was prepared by Chevron's consultant,Blaine
Tech Services,Inc. (Blaine Tech),to describe groundwater monitoring well development activities that
took place at the subject site on May 26, 1995.
Blaine Tech developed both,MW-8 and MW-9.During development specific groundwater parameters
were measured. These parameters included;pH,temperature, conductivity, and turbidity. Well
development was complete once each of these measured parameters had stabilized. Following
development, each well was gauged and sampled.
Attached you will also find,a report dated July 25, 1995,which was prepared by Blaine Tech to describe
the results of groundwater monitoring that was performed at the subject site on May 26, 1995.
During their May site visit,Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all nine site-related wells. The measured
direction of groundwater flow was toward the northeast. The hydraulic gradient was determined to be
0.016 ft/ft.The groundwater samples that were collected from each well were analyzed for the presence of
TPHGas and BTEX constituents. Detectable concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons were measured at
all wells. The measured concentrations were consistent with those measured during previous site
monitoring events. The concentrations measured'at well MW-8 were consistent with what would be
expected at that respective distance from the source area onsite. The measured concentrations at well
MW-9 suggest that the extent of the groundwater contaminant plume extends beyond that location. Data
obtained during the next groundwater sampling event will be evaluated to confirm this.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(510)842-8695.
Sincerely,
/- ga—
