(GTI), to describe groundwater monitoring performed at the
subject site on May 23, 1994.
During GTI's May site visit the measured direction of groundwater flow was toward the north-
northeast. All seven site-related monitoring wells were sampled and analyzed for the presence of
TPHGas and BTEX constituents. Detectable concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons were
measured at all seven wells. With the exception of well MW-6, the measured concentrations were
consistent with those detected during previous site monitoring events. The significantly higher
concentrations measured at MW-6 this quarter could be due to an offsite source. Results obtained
during the third quarter will be evaluated to confirm this possibility.
Chevron has selected Terra Vac as its consultant to perform remediation at the subject site. A
corrective action plan will be submitted for your review by September 30, 1994.
If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached at(510) 842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.
