MACEY & MACEY
TELEPHONE
ATTORNEYS AT LAW 12091 951-8227
RICHARD E. MACEY 4609 QUAIL LAKES DRIVE, SUITE 4
FACSIMILE
JULIE M. MACEY
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95209 Im91 a74-5e67
May 14 , 1992
Public Health Services
San Joaquin County
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Attention: Michael J. Infurna, REHS
Re: 2103 Country Club Boulevard
Stockton, California
Site No. : 1780
Dear Mr. Infurna:
Our office previously advised the County of San Joaquin,
Environmental Health Division that we represent Patrick Craig and
the Berberians, the property owners of the above-referenced
property, who were the previous lessors to Chevron USA, the
operator of this property. As I advised you in our telephone
conversation, there is a pending lawsuit in San Joaquin County
Superior Court between our clients and Chevron USA and another
former operator of the subject property as to the responsibility
for the clean-up of any contamination to this property. You have
advised me that the responsible party, Chevron USA, has failed to
provide quarterly monitoring reports regarding the status of this
property.
In order to promptly and efficiently restore the monitoring of
this property in accordance with the tri-regional requirements for
evaluation and investigation of underground tank sites, I am
requesting that we have a consultation with yourself and any other
appropriate representative of the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services to work out a proper investigation and monitoring plan
that would satisfy the County's requirements and those of the
Regional Water Control Board. I understand that your consultation
fees are billed out at the rate of $53 . 00 per hour per each
representative of the County.
