A
claim number has already been established for previous work done at the site. This
pre-approval request is for the amount of$221,886.
Enclosed are the documents required for review of cost pre-approval for the proposed
remediation work:
1) A copy of the Fund's pre-approval request form;
2) A copy of the CAP;
3) A copy of the letter from the oversight agency (San Joaquin County) giving
conditional approval of the CAP;
4) Chevron's letter acknowledging approval conditions and outlining a schedule;
5) A copy of the work plan and an amended schedule.
6) A spreadsheet showing detailed estimated task costs and labor rates.
Chevron has on file a waiver of the 3-bid requirement.
The contract to do this work was originally awarded in 1994 and the work plan was
generated then but further investigative work was directed by San Joaquin County.
