Weber,3rd Floor
Stockton,CA 95202
Subject: Well Permit Application
Former Chevron Station 9-4054
2103 Country Club Boulevard
Stockton,CA
Dear Mr. Inferna:
Please find attached a well permit application, and accompanying fees, for the installation of 16 dual vapor
extraction wells and 6 air injection wells at the above site. Because the depth to water table is now less
than 15 feet,we will be utilizing dual phase extraction to target the hydrocarbon impacted soils located at
F10-20 feet bgs. The DVE pilot test, conducted on existing monitoring wells screened into the more
rtn le sand below 20 feet, showed that dewatering at this depth would not be effective with DVE. As
Qper UCUUVU Action Plan,two-inch sparge wells will be installed to about 30 feet, with two feet of
Z screen. The DVE wells will be 4-inch wells, screened from approximately 10 to 20 feet. The DVE wells
will capture any offgas that may be generated,as well as remediating the shallower zone, and the elevated
IL oxygen levels will enhance biodegradation.
The accompanying figure shows the general layout of the wells. Since the wells are relatively close to each
other, and are of similar depth and construction, sampling for lithology will be conducted on up to ten of
the wells only. Soil samples with the highest PID reading from each of the ten wells logged, will be
analyzed for TPHg/BTEX.
If you have any questions, please call me at(952)363-7322.
Sincerely,
" 'kc-4K
Robert A.Dahl
Project Manager
file 30-0212.16.05
