Former Chevron Service Station 9-4054
2103 Country Club Drive
Stockton, California
The site is a former Chevron service station located in a mixed commercial and residential area of
Stockton, California. Former service station facilities at the site included five steel, single-
walled, fuel underground storage tanks (USTs) (one 2,000-gallon, two 4,000-gallon, and two
3,000-gallon); one steel waste oil UST (5504gallon); product line piping and pump islands; and
station building. The USTs and associated piping were removed in October 1988. The station
building and pump islands were subsequently razed, and the site is currently a vacant lot.
The site is currently an active environmental case with the'San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department. Recent testing of the soil and groundwater indicates gasoline constituents are
present in the soil and groundwater beneath the site. Based on the results of upcoming
assessment activities, a focused over excavation may,be implemented at this site. If an over
excavation occurs, there may be dust and gasoline odor. .associated with these activities. The
environmental contractor will make all reasonable efforts to minimize dust and odor problems
associated with this work.
Soil and water generated during this project will be removed to an approved disposal facility.
Clean soil will be used to fill the excavation.
