(BBL) for Chevron Service Station 94054 located at 2103 Country Club Boulevard in Stockton,
California(Figure 1).
A dual vacuum extraction system (DVE) was operated at the site from October 2000 through October
2003. The DVE system reportedly removed approximately 2,100 pounds of gasoline hydrocarbons
through December 31, 2001.
Quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on-site on February 13, 2006 by Gettler-
Ryan Inc. (G-R). The groundwater monitoring program consists of water-level-elevation monitoring,
sample collection, and chemical analysis of samples as described below.
Field Procedures
r
Water-level measurements were collected on February 13, 2006 from the monitoring well network which
consists of 11 wells. Water-level measurements were used to calculate the water-table elevation at each
.. well and develop a potentiometric surface map for the Site. These data allowed for subsequent estimation
of the groundwater flow direction.
Groundwater samples were subsequently collected from the 11 monitoring wells. Groundwater samples
were collected in accordance with California Environmental Protection Agency procedures outlined in
Representative Sampling of Groundwater for Hazardous Substances(CalEPA, 1995).
Y^ A three-volume purging and sample technique, using a decontaminated stack pump and disposable bailer,
was used for groundwater purging and sample collection with the exception of MW4 which reportedly
has a bent casing. Monitoring well MW4 could not be purged; therefore, the groundwater sample was
collected using a disposable bailer. Field parameters were measured after each well volume using the
following series of activities and sampling protocols:
10062822.doc
2033 North Main Street.•Suite 340•walnut Creek,CA 94596•Duns#14-848-7635
Tel(925)274-1100•Fax(925)274-1103•www.bbkinc.com•Offices Nationwide
