EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> Former Chevron Service Station 9-4054 <br /> 2103 Country Club Drive <br /> Stockton, California <br /> The site is a former Chevron service station located in a mixed commercial and <br /> residential area of Stockton, California. Former facilities included five steel, <br /> single-walled, fuel underground storage tanks (USTs) (one 2,000-gallon, two <br /> 4,000-gallon, and two 3,000-gallon); one steel waste oil UST (550-gallon); product line <br /> piping and pump islands; and a station building. The USTs were removed in October <br /> 1988. The site is currently a vacant lot. <br /> The site is currently an active environmental case with the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (County). Recent testing of the soil and groundwater <br /> indicates gasoline constituents are present in the soil beneath the site. In an effort to <br /> clean up the soil and groundwater beneath the site, soil will be excavated from the <br /> western portion of the site. While digging occurs at the site there may be dust and <br /> gasoline odor associated with these activities. The digging contractor will make all <br /> reasonable efforts to minimize dust and odor problems associated with this work. <br /> Soil excavated during this project will be removed to an approved disposal facility <br /> (landfill). Clean soil will be used to fill in the excavation. <br /> If approved; SECOR is scheduled to begin excavating in November 2005 and will be <br /> completed by January 2006. Upon completion of work, the site will be used as <br /> commercial property. <br />
