This HASP is an internal plan for the use of EBI's
personnel and subcontractors only and is not included as part of the Limited Subsurface Investigation Report.
Utility Clearance
EBI and/or a drilling subcontractor will contact the appropriate state agencies and local and municipal utilities in
order to obtain utility clearance prior to commencing the subsurface investigation. Unless otherwise agreed,
the Client shall provide or arrange for EBI to be provided with locations of buried utilities and other
underground structures in areas of subsurface exploration. The on-site representatives will also confirm the
location of underground utilities to EBI. In addition, EBI will retain a private utility locator contractor to
confirm the locations of the underground utilities.
Subsurface Investigation
In an attempt to confirm the absence/presence of the potential former UST systems in the accessible exterior
areas of the Project Site, EBI proposes to retain an independent qualified geophysical survey company to
conduct the geophysical survey. Note that the area of the geophysical survey will be limited to accessible
exterior areas of the Project Site as depicted on the Proposed Geophysical Survey Map below. The Subject
Property is depicted below on the Site Plan.
The Phase II limited subsurface investigation scope of work will include the advancement of five (5) soil borings
as depicted on the Proposed Boring Location Map below. Please note that any vehicles, trailers, equipment, or
other obstructions will need to be removed from the boring locations in advance by others prior to the
scheduled dated of the Phase II field work. EBI notes that no borings are proposed beyond the Subject
Property boundaries or within any type of public right-of-way. The borings will be advanced in the proposed
location of the proposed tower (I boring), equipment shelter (I boring), generator (I boring), and utility
easement(2 borings).
A direct-push sampling rig will be utilized to advance the soil borings. The boring in the location of the
proposed tower will be advanced to a depth of 25 feet or equipment refusal, whichever is encountered first.
One groundwater sample (if encountered) and two soil samples will be collected from the boring advanced in
the location of the proposed tower. In the event that groundwater is encountered, it should be sampled via
ENVIROBUSINESS, INC.
