AGE-prepared pilot test wo'ff plan, AGE proposes to add 5 gallons of the 35%
industrial grade peroxide to a total of 35 gallons of clean tap water. Additionally, one
liter of muriatic or hydrochloric acid will be added to complete the final proposed
injectant mixture. Above ground this yields a 5% solution of peroxide with
approximately 1 % acid. The one percent acid in the mixture was derived by converting
35 gallons of water to liters
(132.3 liters) and then dividing the proposed one liter of acid over the
132.3 liters of water (equaling 0.7%; rounded to 1%). Assuming that the mixture will be
additionally diluted by formation water it is anticipated that the final mixture in ground
will be close to the targeted concentration
of 2%.
In general, AGE has used muriatic acid to create the proposed mixture, which can be
purchased at a standard hardware store such as Home Depot or Lowes.
The product is generally manufactured by Kem-Tek (product MSDS attached) and
comes in two (2), one-gallon containers (equaling a total of approximately
7.5 liters of acid).
If you any further questions or require any further clarification please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Best regards,
Daniel Villanueva
Staff Geologist
Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc.
Stockton .
