It was stated in the Report that an additional remedial alternative feasibility
study would be submitted to continue the required investigation and remediation at the site. On
October 28, 2011, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) received
AGE's In-Situ Chemical Oxidation Feasibility Study Work Plan(Plan), dated October 20, 2011.
The Plan presented evaluations of several in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) methods and
concluded that the injection of 5% hydrogen peroxide in combination with either 1% of sulfuric or
muriatic acid, would be the most cost-effective and feasible remedial option for the site. The
EHD approves the plan to test the method onsite in existing wells as adequate and necessary.
[Health and Safety Code, 25296.10(c)(3)]. Please provide the EHD with a schedule for the four
weekly injection events proposed in the Plan and obtain the approval of Mr. James Barton of the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) prior to injecting any
materials into the subsurface.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Michael Infurna, at (209) 468-3454.
lzce `,1, D —
Michael J.
