Advanced
GeoEnvironniental , Inc .
05 October 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0398
Mr. Mike Jnfurna
San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division
304 East Weber Avenue
Stockton, California 95202
Subject: Receptor Survey & Site Closure Request
YELLOW CAB COMPANY
2210 Country Club Boulevard, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Infurna:
At the request of Mr. Tom Daniels of Yellow Cab Company, Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc.
(AGE) has conducted a receptor survey as part of initial site characterization requirements under the
California Code of Regulations - Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Section 2654, for the site located
at 2210 Country Club Boulevard, Stockton, California. The scope of work for the receptor survey
was to locate any municipal, domestic, irrigation or ground water monitoring wells within a 2,000
foot radius of the site. Furthermore, a search was performed to locate any on-site or nearby septic
systems that could potentially serve as a pathway to surface ground water. The location of the site
and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1. Site structures are depicted on
Figure 2.
Drinking water near the site is currently supplied by the City of Stockton municipal well system. The
municipal wells in the site area are maintained by California Water Service Company (Cal-Water).
Based on a map titled Tfl'ater System ofStockton, published in 1996 by Cal-Water, a non-operational
municipal water well (Station No. 14) is located approximately 1,500 feet northeast of the site near
the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Marine Avenue. A second municipal water well (Station
No. 32) is located approximately 2,200 feet northwest of the site on Sonoma Avenue between
Plymouth Road and Delaware Avenue. The map did not indicate any other municipal wells
maintained by the City of Stockton or Cal Water located within 2,000 feet of the site. A summary
I
of all municipal wells located from the Cal Water map is included in Table I and on Figure 3.
On 23 September 1999, a representative of AGE performed a reconnaissance of visually observable
potential receptors within a 2,000-foot radius of the above referenced site. One municipal water well
(Station No. 32) mentioned above was observed as located on the Cal Water man. A total of 44
4005 North Wikwn W<p.
