the SWRCS Clean up Fund Letter of Committment, you must make application to <br /> the State of California Water Resources Control Board's (SWRCS) OPetrolem <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund" (Fund). An application package for the <br /> Fund has been provided. <br /> The Fund Was created pursuant to Chapter 6.7S of the California Health and <br /> Safety Code to help eligible owners and operators of petroleum underground <br /> storage tanks to: <br /> I. Meet federal requirements to demonstrate financial responsibility; <br /> 2. obtain reimbursement for costs of the cleanup of unauthorized <br /> releases of petroleum frac USTs; and <br /> 3. Obtain reimbursement for damages awarded to third parties who are <br /> injured by petroleum releases. <br /> The maxum amount available from the Fund is $990,000 per occurrence. <br /> Claimants are responsible for the first $10,000 of eligible costs. <br /> Applications must be submitted to the BUMS Clean Vp Fuad by March 31, 1994 to <br /> undergo eligibility ranking for funding is the 1994-95 state fiscal budget <br /> year. All subsurface investigations and remedial actions must be performed <br /> under a workplan approved by P8S/VHD- <br /> The Fund does not cover the costs incurred for the removal, repair, retrofit, <br /> or installation of UST9.
