Our intention
in doing so was to collect the necessary soil samples for the bench scale test (BST) while drilling
the well borings for these pilot testing wells. We felt this was a cost effective and expeditious
approach for collecting the BST samples and installing the pilot testing wells while the drilling
equipment was onsite.
The EHD letter requires we do not install the pilot testing wells prior to getting the results of the
BST. As such we are altering our drilling plan to include only one soil boring during the first
phase of drilling. This soil boring will be used to collect the necessary samples for the BST.
CRA plans to use Gregg Drilling for this work (the same drilling contractor listed on our
pending permit application) . The location of the soil boring is shown on the attached site map.
As requested in the EHD letter, we will submit the findings of our BST to EHD for review and
approval before performing any of the other work referenced in our work plan,
i'
i
f
I
t
I
Equal
Employment
Opportunity Employer
Worldwide Engineering, Environmental, Construction, and IT Services
