I have a question for you
regarding the additional Sodium sampling you request in the letter.
When we issued the ISCO report addendum , we realized that we had ISCO (with sodium persulfate)
proposed at two other sites in Stockton (2494 E . Fremont, and 6131 Pacific Ave). With what we
learned from the 2575 Country Club site we decided to collect water samples at those other two sites
and analyze them for metals and cations. What we found is that both of these sites had background
levels of Na above the WQOs. We are now reconsidering ISCO at these sites as well .
My question to you is this; Is the data we collected at these other two sites sufficient to satisfy your
request for background groundwater re-sampling for Na at the 2575 Country Club site? It seems that
the elevated levels of Na are prevalent throughout Stockton and we are likely to see the same results
with any re-sampling we do at 2575 Country Club. We can submit the data from these other sites with
our Sept 16th submittal if you would like to see it (I think Tom Magney emailed the Na data for 2494
Fremont).
Please let me know if we can use this Na data from our other two Stockton sites, rather than re-sample
the 2575 Country Club site (and surrounding wells) to validate the high Na levels at this site.
Thanks
Joe
Joe W.
