CAMBRIA <br /> September 9,2004 <br /> Mr Richard Stiffler <br /> City of Stockton Department of Municipal Utilities <br /> Environmental Control Section <br /> 2500 Navy Drive <br /> Stockton, CA 95206-1191 <br /> Re August 2004 Self-Monitoring Report <br /> Former Shell Service Station <br /> 2575 Country Club Blvd <br /> Stockton,California <br /> Incident 98996184 <br /> SAP 136144 <br /> Dear Mr Suffler <br /> On behalf of Equilon Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell), Cambria Environmental <br /> Technology, Inc (Cambna)presents this self-monitoring report for the referenced site <br /> GROUNDWATER EXTRACTION SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> Groundwater 1s extracted from well RW-IA,using a pneumatic submersible pump,and treated by four <br /> granular activated carbon (GAC) vessels in series prior to discharge into the sanitary sewer The <br /> discharge is authorized under a City of Stockton wastewater discharge permit, originally issued on <br /> October 23,2000 and revised on June 28,2002 The City of Stockton issued a revised self-monitoring <br /> sample program in a letter dated October 10, 2003 A detailed description of the subject site and <br /> groundwater extraction (GWE)system was included in Cambria's Groundwater Extraction System <br /> Installation Report dated July 27,2001 <br /> Monthly Flow Data- The total discharge and average flow rate reported in Cambria's July 2004 Self- <br /> Monitortng Report should have been for the period of time between June 28 and July 30,2004(not <br /> July 28,2004) Between July 30 and August 5, 2004,the total discharge to the sanitary sewer was <br /> 30,388 gallons,which corresponds to an average now rate of 3 52 gallons per minute <br /> Discussion- The GWE system was shut down on August 5,2004,as documented in Cambria's 5-Day <br /> Cambria Incident Report,subtrutted on August 12,2004 In response to our GWE System Modification Report <br /> Environmental dated August 24,2004.Cambna received your verbal approval to resume normal discharge of treated <br /> Technology,Inc water from well RW-1A into the sanitary sewer in a phone conversation on August 30, 2004 The <br /> Hollis Street GWE system has not yet been restarted,due to logistical issues related to the surface spill incident, <br /> Emerywile CA 94609 <br /> Tel(510)420-0700 <br /> Fax(510)420-9170 <br />
