C A M B R I A
Sample Frequency Change for MW-14. MTBE was not detected this quarter, but has been
detected in deep well MW-14 at Iow levels during some of the previous monthly sampling
events The concentration of MTBE has ranged from 14 to 4 1 parts per billion The closest
domestic well (2452) to MW-14 is also being sampled monthly and has not contained MTBE
We believe the MTBE detections in MW-14 are not derived from the release at the subject site
due to the great distance (-700 feet) from the subject site and also historical groundwater flow
direction data indicates well MW-14 is located crossgradient from the subject site In addition,
there are two wells (MW-11 and MW-13) between the subject site and MW-14 that do not
contain MTBE This issue was discussed with San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (SJCEHD) staff during the June 9, 2005 meeting with Shell and Cambria During
that meeting it was agreed upon that monthly sampling of wells MW-14 and 2452 was no longer
warranted Wells MW-14 and 2452 will be sampled on a quarterly basis from now on
Future Reports. As discussed during the June 9, 2005 meeting between SJCEHD, Shell, and
Cambria, per the Geotracker requirements, Margaret Lagono will not require hard copy
documents to be submitted for this site after July 1, 2005 SJCEHD staff will receive future
submittal through the Geotracker web site in place of the hard copy submittals We will comply
with this request beginning July 1, 2005
CLOSING
If you have any questions regarding the contents of this document, please call Joe Neely at
(707) 933-2361
Sincerely,
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc.
ynthia o
Pryect ngineer
A
SYPH W NFF
Joe W Neely,PG
Senior Project Geologist No. 6927
PG 6927
'9T P
F Os:CA1-
0783 3
