CAMBRIA <br /> UST and two hydraulic hoists were also removed during November 2004 Cambria performed <br /> soil sampling activities associated with the UST, piping, and hoist removal under the guidance of <br /> SJCEHD staff A report documenting the findings of this work was issued by Cambria on <br /> February 4, 2005 <br /> SOIL ASSESSMENT <br /> A soil assessment investigation was performed at this site to determine the extent of residual <br /> impacted soil in the southern portion of the site Cambria advanced 14 Geoprobe borings in <br /> accordance with our May 28, 2004 Site Assessment Work Plan, which was approved by SJCEHD <br /> in their June 7, 2004 correspondence The results of this investigation are detailed below <br /> Investigation Results <br /> Personnel Present Geologists Scott Lewis directed the field activities under the <br /> supervision of California Professional Geologist Joe Neely <br /> Permit. A drilling permit was obtained from SJCEHD (Permit number <br /> 0038307) Copy of the permit is included as Appendix A <br /> Drilling Company Gregg Drilling (C57 License No 485165) <br /> I <br /> Drilling Dates June 14, 15, and 17, 2004 <br /> Drilling Method. Geoprobe and hollow-stem auger(HSA)drilling equipment was <br /> used <br /> Sampling Methods. Soils were logged continuously while drilling with the Geoprobe <br /> equipment and at 5-foot intervals while drilling well boring <br /> MW-15 with the HSA drilling rig The soils encountered are <br /> described on the boring logs presented in Appendix B Soil <br /> samples from the borings were collected at various intervals for <br /> chemical analysis <br /> Number of Borings Fourteen Geoprobe borings (SB-1 through SB-14) and one HSA <br /> well boring(MW-15) were drilled during this investigation The <br /> 0783 2 <br />
