en viros® <br /> March 15, 1996 RECEIVED <br /> MAR 14 1998 <br /> ENVIRONMIr AL I EA1 TN <br /> PERMIT/SERVICLS <br /> Mr. R. ,teff Granberry <br /> Shell Oil Products Company <br /> P O Box 4023 - <br /> Concord, California 94524 <br /> RE: Quarterly Monitoring Report - First Quarter 1996 <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 2575 Country CIub Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC #204-7524-3505 <br /> Dear Mr Granberry- <br /> This Quarterly Monitoring Report describes the recently completed activities associated <br /> with groundwater monitoring and sampling at the referenced site (Plates 1 and 2) This <br /> report was prepared to meet quarterly reporting guidelines issued by the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region and San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services <br /> Quarterly Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Groundwater monitoring and well sampling for the first quarter of 1996 are summarized <br /> below <br /> • Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured groundwater <br /> levels and collected groundwater samples from Wells MW-2 through MW-5, and <br /> RWAA on January 22, 1996 The samples were transported to National <br /> Environmental Testing (NET) of Santa Rosa, California for chemical analysis <br /> • Enviros, Inc (Enviros) evaluated water-level measurement data and prepared a <br /> groundwater contour map (Plate 2) Groundwater flow direction appears to range from <br /> west to southwest at an approximate hydraulic gradient ranging from 0 001 to 0 003 <br /> • Groundwater samples collected from the wells contained concentrations of TPH-G <br /> ranging from not detected (ND) to 110,000 ppb and benzene ranging from ND to <br /> 12,000 ppb A benzene concentration map was prepared and is presented on Plate 2 <br /> First Quarter Sampling <br /> Monitoring Wells MW-2 through MW-5, and RW-1 A were sampled and analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons calculated as Gasoline (TPH-G) according to EPA Method 8015 <br /> (Modified) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) according to EPA <br /> Method 8020 Additionally, a duplicate sample and a nnsate blank were prepared and <br /> analyzed for quality control purposes <br /> Endres, Inc 270 Porkln5 Street Sonoma Callornra Tel 707/935 4850 <br /> P 0 Box 259 95476 0259 Fax 707/935 6649 <br />
