CAM B R I A
Quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling has been performed at this site since January
1995 Depth to water at this site has ranged from approximately 6 to 13 feet below grade (fbg)
and groundwater flow direction has varied at the site but has predonunantly been either toward
the northeast or southwest
WORK PLAN
Technical Rationale for Proposed Scope of Work
• The highest concentrations of gasoline constituents in groundwater beneath this site are
found in the former UST area, near wells MW-5 and RW-1A
• Groundwater flow direction vanes at this site, occasionally flowing toward the west
• Gasoline constituents have historically been detected in well MW-8 Well MW-2 has
historically contained low levels of gasoline constituents
• Cambria proposes installing a monitoring well between MW-2 and MW-8 to better
characterize the area of the site The location of the proposed well is shown on Figure 2
Work Tasks
Permits Cambria will obtain a drilling permit from EHD
Site Safety Plan Cambria will prepare a Site Safety Plan for fieldwork
Utility Clearance Cambria will mark the proposed drilling location and will clear the location
through Underground Service Alert prior to drilling
Site Investigation One groundwater monitoring well (MW-15) is proposed at the location
shown on Figure 2 The well boring will be drilled to approximately 10 feet below first
encountered groundwater using hollow-stem auger equipment and will be converted to a
groundwater monitoring well
A Cambria geologist will supervise the drilling and will describe encountered soils collected
from the well boring using the Unified Sol] Classification System and Munsell Soil Color Charts
40 Soil samples will be collected at 5-foot intervals for soil description, possible chemical analyses,
0783 2
