CAMBRIA <br /> December 28, 1999 <br /> Mr Michael Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Quarterly Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 1999 <br /> Shell-branded Service Station <br /> 2575 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SAP Code 136144 <br /> Incident No 98996184 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This report describes the recently completed activities associated with groundwater <br /> monitoring and sampling at the referenced site (Figures 1 and 2) This report was prepared to <br /> meet quarterly reporting guidelines issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br /> • Central Valley Region and San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Quarterly Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Groundwater monitoring and well sampling for the fourth quarter of 1999 are summarized <br /> below <br /> • Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured groundwater levels <br /> and collected groundwater samples from wells MW-2 through MW-14, RW-]A, the <br /> offsite CalTrans irrigation well, and five offsite domestic wells on October 28, 1999 <br /> The samples were transported to Sequoia Analytical of Morgan Hill, California for <br /> chemical analysis <br /> • Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) evaluated water-level measurement <br /> Oakland CA data and prepared a groundwater contour map (Figure 2) for the shallow wells (wells <br /> Sonoma CA <br /> Portland OR MW-2 through M W-1 1 and RW-1 A) The groundwater flow direction varies across th e <br /> S e a t t I e WA site at an approximate hydraulic gradient ranging from 0 001 to 0 008 <br /> Cambria • Groundwater samples collected from shallow wells MW-5, MW-8, and RW-IA contained <br /> Environmental <br /> 6 nology,Inc TPHg concentrations ranging from 12,300 to 105,000 ppb Benzene was detected in <br /> wells MW-5 and RW-IA at concentrations of 17,000 and 10,500 ppb, respectively <br /> 270 Perkins Street Methanol was detected in well MW-8 at a concentration of 17,600 ppb Groundwater <br /> P 0 Box 259 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel(707)935-4850 <br /> Fax(7o7)935-6649 <br />
