CAM BRIA
RW-IA and MW-5 at concentrations of 180,000 and 290,000 ppb, respectively. These
data are shown on the chemical concentration map (Plate 2) and are summarized in the
table in Blaine's monitoring report (Appendix A).
• Separate phase petroleum hydrocarbons were not present in Well RW-lA this quarter.
• Ground water samples collected from deep monitoring Wells MW-7 and MW-9 through
MW-14 did not contain 'detectable levels of TPHg, benzene, MTBE or other fuel
oxygenates.
• Ground water samples collected from the Warman well located at 2468- Country Club
Boulevard-(CCB) contained 2,300 -ppb TPHg. MTBE was detected in ground water !
samples collected from the Caltrans'.irrigation well located on Plymouth Road and the
Franco well located at 2454 CCB at concentrations of 2.2 and 5.3 ppb, respectively. The
ground water sample from the Harris well located at 2456 CCB contained MTBE (by
EPA Method 8020) at a concentration of 8.6 ppb.. However, the. results of the more
s
accurate analytical method. (EPA Method .8260) indicate MTBE is not present in this
f well. No other petroleum hydrocarbons .or fuel oxygenates were detected in the ground
water-samples ,
collected from the irrigation well the domestic. wells. The laboratory
analytical results are summarized in the table in Blaine's monitoring report
(Appendix A)..
Quarterly Sampling
Ground water samples were analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg)
according to EPA Method 8015 (Modified), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,. and xylenes
(BTEX), and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) according .to EPA Method 8020, , and
oxygenate compounds according to EPA Method 8260 and EPA 8015 (Modified).
Field monitoring data and chemical analytical data are presented' in a summary table in .
Blaine's ground water"monitoring report (Appendix A).
r
i. Conclusions
The petroleum hydrocarbon and MTBE concentrations in ground water samples collected
from the shallow wells this quarter are within the historical norm for this site. Ground water
' samples from the Caltrans irrigation well and the private water .wells did not contain
petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates, except for the Warman well, which contained
240-0783 2
