C A B R 9 A <br /> August 31, 1998 <br /> Mr Mike Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Re Quarterly Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 1998 <br /> Shell-branded Service Station <br /> 2575 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC 4204-7524-3505 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This Quarterly Monitoring Report describes the recently completed activities associated with <br /> ground water monitoring and sampling at the referenced site (Plates 1 and 2) This report <br /> was prepared to meet quarterly reporting guidelines issued by the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region and San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> iQuarterly Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Ground water monitoring and well sampling for the third quarter of 1998 are summarized <br /> below <br /> o Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured ground water levels <br /> and collected ground water samples from Wells MW-2 through MW-14, RW-IA, the off- <br /> site Caltrans irrigation well, and 5 off-site domestic wells on July 29, 1998 The samples <br /> were transported to Sequoia Analytical of Redwood City, California for chemical analysis <br /> o Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) evaluated water-level measurement <br /> data and prepared a ground water contour map (Plate 2) for the shallow wells (Wells <br /> Oakland CA MW-2 through MW-11 and RW-1A) The ground water flow direction is generally <br /> Sonoma CA southwesterly at an approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 0015 <br /> Portland OR <br /> Seattle WA <br /> • Ground water samples collected from shallow Wells MW-2 through MW-1 I and RW-IA <br /> Cambria contained TPPH concentrations ranging from ND to 17,000 ppb, benzene <br /> Environmental concentrations ranging from ND to 20,000, and MTBE concentrations ranging from ND <br /> Technology, Inc <br /> to 410,000 ppb These data are summarized on Table 1 and shown on the chemical <br /> 0-P <br /> 7o Perkins Street concentration map (Plate 2) <br /> O Box 259 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel (707)935"4850 <br /> Fax(7o7)935-6649 <br />
