August 30, 1997 <br /> Mr. Alex Perez <br /> Shell Oil Products Company <br /> P O Box 4023 <br /> Concord, California 94524 <br /> RE: Quarterly Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 1997 <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 2575 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC #204-7524-3505 <br /> Dear Mr Perez <br /> This Quarterly Monitoring Report describes the recently completed activities associated <br /> with ground water monitoring and sampling at the referenced site (Plates I and 2) This <br /> report was prepared to meet quarterly reporting guidelines issued by the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region and San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services <br /> Quarterly Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Ground water monitoring and well sampling for the third quarter of 1997 are summarized <br /> below <br /> o Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured ground water <br /> levels and collected ground water samples from Wells MW-2 through MW-8 and <br /> RW-lA on July 8, 1997 The samples were transported to Sequoia Analytical of <br /> Redwood City, California for chemical analysis <br /> • Enviros, Inc (Enviros) evaluated water-level measurement data and prepared a ground <br /> water contour map (Plate 2) The ground water flow direction varies with an <br /> approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 003 <br /> • Ground water samples collected from Wells MW-2 through MW-8 and RW-1 A <br /> contained TPPH concentrations ranging from ND to 120,000 ppb, benzene <br /> concentrations ranging from ND to 17,000, and MTBE concentrations ranging from <br /> ND to 1,600,000 ppb A benzene concentration map was prepared and is presented on <br /> Plate 2 <br /> • Separate phase product was not present in Well RWAA this quarter <br /> i <br /> Enviros, Inc 270 Perkins Street Sonoma California Tel 707/9354850 <br /> P 0 Sox 259 95476 0259 Fax 7071935 6649 <br />
