Ground water monitoring and well sampling for the first quarter of 1997 are summarized <br /> below <br /> o Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured ground water <br /> levels in Wells MW-2 through MW-8 and RW-1 A and collected ground water samples <br /> from Wells MW-2 through MW-8 The samples were transported to Sequoia <br /> Analytical of Redwood City, California for chemical analysis <br /> • Enviros, Inc (Enviros) evaluated water-level measurement data and prepared a ground <br /> water contour map (Plate 2) Ground water appears to flow southwesterly and <br /> northwesterly of Well MW-4 at an approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 006 <br /> • Ground water samples collected from Wells MW-2 and MW-8 contained 420 and <br /> 76,000 ppb TPPH, respectively Wells MW-5 and MW-8 contained 12,000 and 800 <br /> ppb benzene, respectively A benzene concentration map was prepared and is <br /> presented on Plate 2 MTBE was detected in Wells MW-2, and MW-4 through MW-6 <br /> at concentrations ranging from 20 to 1,100,000 ppb Well RW-lA contained 0 03 foot <br /> of free product and was not sampled this quarter <br /> • A product skimmer is present in Well RW-JA During this quarters sampling event, <br /> approximately 0 11 gallons of free product was removed from the well <br /> Quarterly Sampling <br /> Monitoring Wells MW-2 through MW-8 were sampled and analyzed for Total Purgeable <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons quantitated as gasoline (TPPH) according to EPA Method 8015 <br /> Cnvfrna, Inc 270 Perkins Street Sonoma California Tel 707/935 4850 <br /> P 0 Box 259 954750259 Fax 707/935 6649 <br />
