t� <br /> F) <br /> �no, <br /> � <br /> r <br /> November 29, 1996 <br /> Mr. R. ,Teff Granberry <br /> Shell Oil Products Company <br /> P O Box 4023 <br /> Concord, California 94524 <br /> RE: Quarterly Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 1996 <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 2575 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC #204-7524-3505 <br /> Dear Mr Granberry <br /> This Quarterly Monitoring Report describes the recently completed activities associated <br /> with ground water monitoring and sampling at the referenced site (Plate 1) This report <br /> was prepared to meet quarterly reporting guidelines issued by the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region and San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Quarterly Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Ground water monitoring and well sampling for the fourth quarter of 1996 are summarized <br /> below <br /> o Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured ground water <br /> levels in Wells MW-2 through MW-5 and RW-lA and collected ground water samples <br /> from Wells MW-2 through MW-5 on October 25, 1996 The samples were transported <br /> to Sequoia Analytical of Redwood City, California for chemical analysis <br /> + Enviros, Inc (Enviros) evaluated water-level measurement data and prepared a ground <br /> water contour map (Plate 2) Ground water appears to flow north-northeasterly at an <br /> approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 003 <br /> • Ground water samples collected from Wells MW-2 and MW-5 contained 840 ppb, <br /> 18,000 ppb benzene, respectively Wells MW-3 and MW-4 were ND for TPPH and <br /> BTEX A benzene concentration map was prepared and is presented on Plate 2 Well <br /> RW-lA was not sampled this quarter because it contained 0 04 foot of free product <br /> Quarterly Sampling <br /> Monitoring Wells MW-2 through MW-5 were sampled and analyzed for Total Purgeable <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons quantitated as gasoline (TPPH) according to EPA Method 8015 <br /> (Modified), and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX), and methyl-tertiary- <br /> butyl-ether (MTBE) according to EPA Method 8020 Additionally, a duplicate sample and <br /> an equipment blank were prepared and analyzed for quality control purposes A <br /> confirmation analysis for MTBE by EPA Method 8260 was conducted on the sample from <br /> Well MW-4 <br /> Cnvlros, inc 270 Perkins Street Sonoma Cafilorrnia To/707/935 4850 <br /> P 0 Box 259 95476 0259 Fax 707/935 6649 <br />
