Jeff Granberry <br /> Shell Oil Products Company <br /> P 0 Box 4023 <br /> Concord, California 94524 <br /> RE: Quarterly Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 1995 <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 2575 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC #204-7524-3505 <br /> Dear Mr Granberry <br /> This Quarterly Monitoring Report describes the recently completed activities associated <br /> with ground water monitoring and sampling at the referenced site (Plate 1) This report <br /> was prepared to meet quarterly reporting guidelines issued by the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region and San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Quarterly Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Ground water monitoring and well sampling for the third quarter of 1996 are summarized <br /> below <br /> o Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured ground water <br /> levels and collected ground water samples from Wells MW-2 through MW-5 and <br /> RW-1Aon July 30, 1996 The samples were transported to Sequoia Analytical of <br /> Redwood City, California for chemical analysis <br /> e Enviros, Inc (Enviros) evaluated water-level measurement data and prepared a ground <br /> water contour map (Plate 2) Ground water appears to flow north-northeasterly at an <br /> approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 002 <br /> • Ground water samples collected from Wells MW-2, MW-5, and RW-lA contained <br /> 320 ppb, 14,000 ppb, and 21,000 ppb benzene, respectively Wells MW-3 and <br /> MW-4 were ND for TPPH and BTEX A benzene concentration map was prepared <br /> and is presented on Plate 2 <br /> • MTBE was present in ground water samples at concentrations ranging from 69 ppb to <br /> 760,000 ppb <br /> Quarterly Sampling <br /> Monitoring Wells MW-2 through MW-5 and RW-1A were sampled and analyzed for Total <br /> Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons quantitated as gasoline (TPPH) according to EPA <br /> Method 8015 (Modified), and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and <br /> methyl-tertiary-butyl-ether(MTBE) according to EPA Method 8020 Additionally, a <br /> duplicate sample and an equipment blank were prepared and analyzed for quality control <br /> purposes <br /> CBVIr00, Inc 270 PerkmS Street Sonoma California 7e1 707/935 4850 <br /> P 0 Bax 259 95476 0259 Fax 707/935 6649 <br />
