3164 Gold Camp Drive <br /> DeltaSuite 200 <br /> R <br /> Rancho Cardona CA 95670 6021 <br /> Envtronmentai U 5 A <br /> Consultants,Inc 9161638 2085 <br /> FAX 916/638 8385 <br /> August 4, 1999 <br /> iVlr Dann L Rouse <br /> Exxon Company,U S A <br /> 2300 Clayton Road, Suite 1250 <br /> C oncord California 94520 <br /> Subject Monitoring Wells and Soil Borings Installation Report <br /> ' Former Exxon Service Station No 7-3708 <br /> 2705 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> ' Delta Project No D093-809 <br /> Dear 'vIr Rouse <br /> ' Delta hn%ironmental Consultants, Inc (Delta), has been authorized by Exxon Company, U S A <br /> (Lxxon) to prepare a report summarizing additional hydrogeological investigation work at Exxon <br /> Service Station No 7-3708 located at 2705 Country Club Boulevard, Stockton, California The purpose <br /> of thy, work is to fiu-ther assess the vertical and lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil <br /> and ground water on-site The location of the site is shown in Figure 1 and site features are illustrated <br /> ' m Figure 2 A copy of the approved permit for drilling activities at the site is included as Enclosure A <br /> This letter report presents the results of soil sampling performed at the site since August 1991 <br /> ' According to San Joaquin County Flood Control maps for fall 1978, the depth to ground water may <br /> have been more that 20 feet below surface grade (bsg) in the vicinity of the site On May 26 and 27, <br /> 1999, eight soil borings were advanced to depths ranging between 26 5 to 36 5 feet bsg The soil <br /> borings were advanced in areas where the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons had not been <br /> ' defined beneath the water table Two of the soil bonngs were completed as ground water monitoring <br /> wells screened across the water table High water table conditions during the past two years have <br /> submerged the existing monitoring well screens Field methods and procedures to be used by Delta to <br /> complete the proposed work are summarized in Enclosure B <br /> ' Project Background <br /> The subject site is an operating retail gasoline station located on a 112 acre parcel at the northwest <br /> corner of Ryde Avenue and Country Club Boulevard in Stockton, California Elevation of the <br /> ' ground surface at the site is approximately 1 to 2 feet above mean sea level The site slopes down <br /> towards the northeast and southwest comers from a slight topographic high across the center <br /> ' In August 1991, Delta installed three ground water monitoring wells on-site MW-I through MW-3 <br /> each to an approximate depth of 27 feet below surface grade (bsg) A quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring program at the site was initiated at that time Chemical analyses on soil samples <br /> collected from MW-1 through MW-3 did not detect concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> Providing a Competitive Edge <br />
