(Stantec)for the above-referenced site.
By electronic mail dated 07 February 2014, the EHD responded to Stantec regarding moving
the site to closure. The EHD has reviewed the submitted report and is of the opinion that the
site can proceed with the case closure process. The EHD concurs with the closure
recommendation presented by Stantec and has discussed this site with the Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board). The EHD is preparing a Case Closure
Summary to submit to the Regional Board for closure notification. The Regional Board will have
thirty days to respond to the closure recommendation by the EHD.
The EHD directs that all monitoring and sampling at this site be suspended while the site is
being considered for closure. Notify owners and occupants of all parcels adjacent to and within
1,000 feet of the above-referenced site, California Water Service Company in Stockton, City of
Stockton Water District, San Joaquin County Public Works Utilities Maintenance, and Stockton
East Water District of the proposed case closure. This is in accordance with Section 25297.15 of the California Health and Safety
Code. Submit a complete list of record owners of fee title and their mailing addresses to the
EHD. A form has been enclosed for this purpose. Please submit the information at your earliest
convenience, so that the closure process can proceed.
During the sixty-day public participation period, it is necessary to plan and prepare to execute
the destruction of all wells installed as part of the site investigation and remedial action so that
after the comments received during the sixty-day public participation period have been properly
addressed, well destructions can commence.
RECEIVED FE`S ? 4 t .
