S E C 0 R - -- _
7-Eleven Store #14117
Corrective Action Plan
October 12, 2007
Page 6
Upon completion of installation activities, SECOR personnel will visit the site on a bi-weekly
basis to perform the oxygen injection events. Oxygen injection will be completed using
bottled oxygen transported to the site by SECOR. Between 150 and 300 cubic feet (ft) of
oxygen will be injected into each well during each event.
During injection, the oxygen volume, flow rate, and injection pressure will be recorded.
Dissolved oxygen measurements will be collected before and after injection events in wells
MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 using a down-hole meter in order to observe the effective radius of
influence of the injected oxygen. In addition, lower explosive limit and percent oxygen
(LEU02) readings will also be measured during each injection event using a hand-held
meter in monitoring wells MW-3, MW-4 and one of the existing tank pit observation wells in
the vicinity of MW-2. The volume of oxygen injection and number of oxygen injection
events preformed may be adjusted based on the concentration of dissolved oxygen
measured in the wells.
The results of the periodic injection events will be reported on a quarterly basis, as part of
the current quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling reports.
After injecting oxygen into 1-2 through 1-5 for a period of one year, SECOR will evaluate:
• The effective radius of influence (ROI) of the new injection wells
• The effectiveness of oxygen injection into the new injection wells in decreasing
hydrocarbon concentrations in the vicinity of wells MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4
• Whether modifications to the oxygen injection approach (i.e. conversion to iSOCO
technology) are warranted to increase the effectiveness of the remedial approach.
REPORTING
SECOR will prepare a report summarizing the fieldwork, well installation activities, and data
collected including:
• Details of field procedures and operations
• Boring logs
• Summary of trenching activities.
• Updated map showing the location of each well and remediation piping layout.
The report will be uploaded into the State of California Geotracker database.
14117 CAP 10-12-07.doc SECOR International, Inc.
