A summary of
' activities conducted during this reporting period is provided below.
• Depth to water(DTW) was gauged in four site-related groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1
through MW-4).
• Groundwater samples were collected from the groundwater monitoring wells and submitted
to a California-certified laboratory for analysis for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and
' xylenes (BTEX), total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline (TPN-G), and the oxygenates,
methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE), tert-butanol (TBA), diisopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl-tert-butyl
ether (ETBE), and tert-amylmethyl ether (TAME).
Groundwater Monitoring Data
Groundwater monitoring was performed on August 25, 1999. Before monitoring, the well caps were
opened to allow the water in each well to stabilize to atmospheric pressure. The DTW was measured to
the nearest 0.01 foot from the top of the well casing using an interface probe.
' Monitoring results from the August 25, 1999 monitoring and sampling event are presented in Table 1 A
potentiometric surface map was generated using top of casing elevations and DTW data collected on
August 25, 1999 (Figure 2). Based on the monitoring data, the estimated groundwater flow is toward the
east-northeast at a gradient 0.01 foot per foot. Field data sheets are included in Attachment 3.
14117,1T)rr,i
