1 Well Installation Report 5 7-Eleven Inc,, Store 1114117,2725 Country Club Boulevard Stockton, CA Au ug st 12, 1999 A total of sixteen soil samples were selected for laboratory analysis for BTEX, MTBE and TPH-G using EPA Methods 8020/modified 8015 and volatile organics (VOCs) by EPA method 8260. ' 3.4 Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation/Surveying On May 13 and 14, 1999, four groundwater monitoring wells were installed in the four borings (MW-1, ' MW-2, MW-3, and MW-4) at the locations shown on Figure 2. The groundwater monitoring wells were constructed of 2-inch-diameter, Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride casing with flush threads, and 0.020-inch--slot well screen. The well screen was installed in the borings from 10 feet to 30 feet in well MW-1, 5 feet to 25 feet in wells MW-2, and 10 feet to 25 feet in wells MW-3 and MW-4. Sand was placed in each well annulus from the bottom to approximately 1 foot above the flop of the well screen. ' The well annulus was sealed with approximately 2 feet of bentonite pellets saturated in place on top of the sand pack, and neat-cement grout to approximately 10 inches bgs. The wellheads are protected at the surface by locking, water-tight well caps and traffic-rated street boxes (with watertight bolted lids) set in concrete. Well construct'son details are shown on the drill logs in Appendix A. Wefl MW-3 was installed between the two new USTs within one of the three 10 inch diameter solid PVC casings installed during the installation of the USTs- ' The top of casing and rim of each well box was surveyed in June 1999 by Morrow Surveying for horizontal position and elevation relative to mean sea level datum using a City of Stockton benchmark no. 249 (a Caltrans disc stamped 1618L at the northeast corner of County Club Boulevard and Ryde Avenue.
