' Libbey Owens Ford Co.
Geoprobe Investigation Work Plan
November 5, 1996
' Page-5-
2.4 Geotechnical Testing
' Two (2) additional soil samples will be selected from the vadose zone for geotechnical testing
based on representative lithology. The results of the geotechnical testing may be used in the future for
' fate and transport modeling of the contaminant plume. The samples will be analyzed at Cooper
Testing Laboratories of Mountain View, California. The samples will be'tested for permeability
' (ASTM 5084), porosity (ASTM 5084), moisture content (ASTM 5084), bulk density (ASTM 5084),
specific gravity (ASTM 854) and organic carbon content (ASTM 2974).
' 2.5 Reporting
' A Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report will be prepared for submission to the
PHS/EHD. The report will include: (1) a description of the fieldwork conducted at the site, (2) the
laboratory results, (3) a scaled site plan, and (4) conclusions.
The fieldwork is tentatively scheduled for November 1996, pending the PHS/EHD review and
approval of this work plan.
