Condor Project No. 1838F
' FIRST QUARTER(SEMI-ANNUAL) GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
FEBRUARY 2014
' Site Address: Pilkington North America, Inc. (Site)
500 East Louise Avenue
Lathrop,California
' Client: Xiaosong Wang
Pilkington North America, Inc.
' 500 East Louise Avenue
Lathrop, California
' Primary Agency: Gerald Djuth, California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB)
Ann Palmer, CRWQCB
Copy to: Adrienne Ellsaesser, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(SJCEHD)
During the first quarter of 2014, Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. (Condor) conducted a semi-annual
' groundwater monitoring event and remediation activities consisting of diesel skimming operations at the
above-referenced Site (Figure 1, Attachment A). This report contains a summary of the diesel product
removal data and results of the first quarter 2014 groundwater monitoring event conducted in February
' 2014. Report attachments include figures indicating the Site location and groundwater gradient, diesel
isopach maps, and cumulative gallons of diesel removed from the Site recovery wells (Attachment A);
Site background information (Attachment B); historic monitoring and diesel product removal data
' (Attachment C); field forms(Attachment D); and current laboratory analytical results (Attachment E).
First Ouarter Groundwater Monitoring Event Summary(February 24 and 25,2014)
' On February 24 and 25, 2014, a Condor representative measured the depth to groundwater, recorded field
observations, and collected groundwater samples from the three monitoring wells(MW-I through MW-3)
and collected groundwater samples from two of the four facility sumps (SE-sump and SW-sump) (Figure
2, Attachment A). The average groundwater elevation in the three Site monitoring wells on February 24,
2014, was 2.31 feet, a decrease of 0.98 feet since previously measured on August 12, 2013. The
calculated groundwater gradient was approximately 0.002 feet per foot(ft/ft)to the east-northeast.
1 Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-D) and kerosene (TPH-K) were not detected at
or above the laboratory reported detection limits in the three monitoring wells or two facility sumps.
' Laboratory analytical results indicate that total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as motor oil
(TPH-MO)was detected in monitoring well MW-2 and the SW-sump.
' is CONDOR
