Recommended preventive measures.
Dear Mr. Weiss:
Please find attached laboratory analytical results for the above referenced soil samples collected by
Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. (Condor) on December 12, 1994 and a drawing showing the locations
of the soil samples. In addition to the locations of the soil samples, the drawing also illustrates areas
of surface staining identified in the field, segments of the stockpile that were composited for Total
Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TEPH) analysis, sample locations chosen for Benzene, Toluene,
Ethyl Benzene and Total Xylenes (BTEX) analysis, and chemical concentrations for both the TEPH
and BTEX analysis.
As we discussed during our telephone conversation on Thursday of last week, fuel oil contaminants
were present in the soil samples collected from the former stockpile area. To prevent further
migration of the contaminants, the area should be covered with plastic or otherwise protected until the
contaminated soil is removed.
If you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance, please contact me at (209) 668-9234.
Respectfully,
Condor Earth Te nologies
d
Robert L b, .E.
Managing Civil Engineer
enc
ENVIRONMENTAL • GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
