There has been no groundwater sampling, it was just a gross removal of contaminated soil. If it is okay for the Site
Mitigation Unit in our department(my unit does not oversee cleanups)to oversee the cleanup they may require
groundwater sampling. I will let them know your concerns.
Thank you.
Kasey Foley, REHS
Program Coordinator
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E. It appears that the soil
contamination you are cleaning up is not related to the source of the fuel release we are working on.
I do not have any issue with you taking the lead on the oil treatment cleanup. However,we are having them do some
additional characterization of the extent of the groundwater plume, which may extend under your oil cleanup site. lam
interested in whether you had them take any groundwater samples.
If you have any groundwater data, please let me know, as we may have co-mingled plumes.
Gerald
Gerald Djuth, PE, CEG
Chief, Private& Federal Site Cleanup Unit
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200
Rancho Cordova,CA 95670
916-464-4677
E OF CALlFOR'q
m
b
Z v
Q
O
1P 1p,
OUALW(G a
2
