The initial quarterly monitoring event can be conducted approximately three months following
the initial monitor well sampling event(conducted after the well installation)and will be
continued on a quarterly basis thereafter. Quarterly monitoring reports can be submitted within
30 days of the quarterly monitoring event.
An annual groundwater monitoring report will be submitted within 45 days of the fourth
consecutive monitoring event. The annual report will be submitted in place of a quarterly
groundwater monitoring report. The annual groundwater monitoring report will summarize the
results of the previous quarterly monitoring events. These results will include the intrinsic
bioremediation parameter measurements collected during the initial monitor well installation
sampling event and the fourth quarterly monitoring event. The annual monitoring report will
include an evaluation of the lateral extent of the dissolved diesel plume, the thickness of the free-
phase diesel (if present)at the location of MW-4,hydrogeologic conditions(including gradient
and water table fluctuations), and any natural attenuation of the contamination due to intrinsic
bioremediation or other mechanisms. The annual monitoring report will also include
recommendations for site disposition including monitoring reductions or additional work, if
necessary.
Request for Approval to Proceed
LOF respectfully requests your approval to proceed with the scope of work as described in the
previously approved Work Plan,Addendum to Work Plan, and proposed modifications described
in this letter. As described in the Project Schedule portion of this letter, the monitor well
installation can proceed within 30 days of your approval. If there are any questions, please call
Jon Weiss,LOF Environmental Coordinator, at(209) 858-6202.
Respectively Submitted,
CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES,INC.
ED G
Donald F.
