(Condor) at the request of
Libbey Owens Ford Co. (LOF), is a description of proposed work to remove existing floating diesel
product from the water table at the siteand to investigate the lateral extent of the groundwater plume.
The subject site is located at 500 E. Louise Avenue, in Lathrop, California (Figures I and 2, Appendix
A). The purpose of the proposed work is to remove existing floating diesel product from the water
table beneath the standby generator diesel supply line, by use of a series of product recovery trenches
and product recovery skimmer wells. The proposed work includes the excavation of approximately
350 linear feet of trenching. Six (6) product recovery wells will be installed at strategic locations
within the trench complex. The trenches will be backfilled with gravel and native soil. A product,
recovery skimmer will be operated at a selected product recovery well and moved periodically to other
wells, as warranted, to optimize effectiveness. In addition, three (3) monitor wells are proposed at
locations shown in Figure 6, Appendix A.
All work will be conducted in accordance with the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services, Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD), and the California Regional Water Quality
Control Board (CRWQCB) requirements. Included in this work plan is a discussion of the site
background and a description of the proposed product recovery system installation, operation and
 CONDOR
