Four (4)
groundwater monitoring wells and eight (8) Cementation wells are located at the site. The
groundwater monitoring wells are single completed with 2-inch diameter well casings in
an 6-inch diameter borehole, and the renunciation wells are single-completed with 4-inch
diameter well casings in a 10-inch diameter borehole. Well construction details are summarized in Table 1 .
This Work Plan was developed in preparation for potential site closure activities and in
accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQGB) letter
dated 31 January 2020 (Appendix A).
INTRODUCTION
A diesel fuel leak from underground piping associated with an above ground storage tank
as discovered at the site in 1996. The initial investigation of the release included the
excavation of approximately 15 cubic yards of soil. The diesel above ground storage tank
connection to the underground piping delivery system was removed board Service. A total
of approximately 3,000 gallons of diesel and 2,000 gallons of a diesel and water mixture
were oved from the excavation prior to backglling in 1996. Since discovery, the extent
of the release was investigated, and petroleum hydrocarbons and free-phase product
were removed by passive skimming activities and dual phase extraction remediation.
B37 Shaw Road , Stockton.
