Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
From: William Little <wlittle@advgeoenv.com>
Sent: Wednesday,June 10, 2015 12:57 PM
To: Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
Cc: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Subject: RE: 500 E Louise Ave., Lathrop - sampling
Mr. Gonzalez:
The scope of work required will be the collection of two additional soil samples for analysis, from the
current excavation floor.
Soil will be manually excavated six inches with shovel or hand auger. Soil will then be manual
collected within a six inch steel sleeve, through the use of soil sample hammer. The sleeve ends will
be capped, sealed and sample labeled/preserved in an ice chest under ice and placed onto a chain of
custody. McCampbell Analytical will likely be the laboratory for analysis.
With procedures listed able, soil samples are required at the location 132-10' (10 feet) with analysis for
EPA 8260; and an excavation floor sample collected at approximately five feet below surface grade at
the lateral location of initial shallow soil sample WTP#3 with analysis for California Assessment
Metals (CAM17) EPA 60106, EPA 7062 for antimony and arsenic, EPA 7131 for cadmium, EPA 7421
for lead, EPA 7471A for mercury, EPA 7521 for nickel, EPA for 7742 for selenium and EPA 7841 for
thallium.
AGE would recommend EPA method 6010 icp and 6020 ICP-MS for all the analytes and EPA
7471A for mercury.
Nuel Henderson described these sample location and depths, as the letters requirements for closure.
The excavation area will then be backfilled and compacted. The sampling is requested at the earliest
opportunity.
William Little
California Professional Geologist #7473
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
Environmental • Industrial Hygiene • Geotechnical • Contracting
Phone: 800-511-9300
Fax: 888-445-8786
wlittle(@advqeoenv.com
www.advqeoenv.com
This email/fax message is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential
and privileged information.
