BOX 711
DALLAS, TX 75221-0711
RE: 4627 DaVinci SITE CODE: 1047
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) is the lead agency providing the
oversight of the investigation and cleanup of releases from underground storage tanks (USTs)
within San Joaquin County. EHD has a contract with the California State Water Resources
Control Board to conduct a UST corrective action program. The above referenced site was
placed in the EHD Local Oversight Program (LOP) in March, 1997.
A soil and ground water investigation has been conducted at the above referenced site and
contamination has been documented. The vertical and lateral extent of soil and ground water
contamination has not been fully defined with the information obtained from the existing 7
monitoring wells installed on site. The analytical results of the ground water from MW#7,
located down gradient on the southwest portion of the property, have shown high concentrations
of both MTBE and TBA.
You are directed to continue with your investigation and define the full extent of soil and ground
water contamination caused by the unauthorized release from the USTs. After the extent of
contamination is defined, you will be required to conduct feasibility testing and perform
corrective action.
Please submit a Work Plan, an EHD well permit application, and $89.00 permit fee to perform
additional investigation and sampling by June 1, 2004.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, contact Harlin Knoll at (209) 468-3442.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
ALItl
Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
Cc: Howard N.
