F r 0 R - -- <br /> 7-Eleven Store#20632 <br /> • Offsite Assessment Report <br /> May 18, 2005 <br /> Page 4 <br /> approximately five to six volumes of water from the screen, and to collect a grab groundwater <br /> sample <br /> The groundwater samples were transferred into laboratory-cleaned sample containers, sealed <br /> with Teflon`s-lined caps, labeled, and placed on ice in an Insulated container Groundwater <br /> samples were transported under chain-of-custody documentation to Kiff Analytical, a California- <br /> certified laboratory The samples were analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and five fuel oxygenates <br /> MtBE, EtBE, DIPE, TAME and TBA by EPA Method 8260B <br /> Boring Destruction <br /> Following completion of soil and groundwater sampling, each boring was filled with neat cement <br /> to two feet bgs and then filled to grade with native soil generated during the boring activities <br /> Waste Disposal <br /> Soil generated during boring activities was temporarily stored onsite in a properly labeled 55- <br /> gallon drum Four discrete soil samples were collected from the drum and transported to Kiff <br /> Analytical under chain-of-custody documentation for profiling The four discrete soil samples <br /> were combined in the laboratory Into one composite sample (SP-1 [ABCD]) and analyzed for <br /> TPHg and BTEX by EPA Method 826013, and total lead by EPA Method 60108 (Table 2) <br /> Fallowing acceptance of the soil profile data, Belshire Environmental Services Inc transported <br /> the non-hazardous soil on March 9, 2005 The drum of soil was recycled at the TPS <br /> Technologies Soil Recycling facility located in Adelanto, California A Copy of the waste <br /> disposal documentation is provided in Attachment C <br /> RESULTS OF SAMPLING ANALYSIS <br /> Soil Sample Analytical Results <br /> With the exception of soil sample S13-3A soil samples analyzed contained no concentrations of <br /> TPHg, BTEX or MtBE above laboratory reporting limits MtBE was detected at 0 06 mg/kg in <br /> soil sample SB-3A at eight feet bgs Copies of the laboratory reports are in Attachment D Soil <br /> analytical results are shown in Figure 4 and summarized in Table 2 <br /> Grab Groundwater Sample Analytical Results <br /> BTEX and TPHg was not detected with concentrations above the laboratory reporting limits in <br /> the eight groundwater samples Samples collected from SB-1 B, S13-2A, SB-3A and SB-313 <br /> contained concentrations of MtBE at 0 77 ug/L, 3,300 ug/L, 230 ug/L and 0 55 ug/L, <br /> respectively TBA and TAME were detected in S13-2A at 11,000 ug/L and 4 1 ug/L, respectively <br /> Grab groundwater sample analytical results are presented on Figure 5 and summarized in Table <br /> 3 Copies of the analytical data are in Attachment D <br /> SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> On January 31, 2005, eight soil borings were advanced by hand auger in the EBMUD property <br /> adjacent to and south of the subject site Soil samples submitted for analysis resulted in one <br /> 117-Elevenl7-11 Stores1206321Reports120632 Assessment Report 05-8-05 doc <br />
