FLUOR DANIEL GTI <br /> ' <br /> Ap nl 25, 1998 <br /> ' Mr Bob DeNinno <br /> The Southland Corporation <br /> 555 S Renton Village Place,Suite 700 r <br /> ' Renton,WA 98055 <br /> Subject First Quarter 1998 Monitoring and Sampling Report <br /> Former Southland Store No 20632 <br />' 4627 Davinci Drive <br /> Stockton,Caldomia <br /> Fluor Daniel GTI Project 102483 <br />' Dear Mr DeNinno <br /> This First Quarter 1998 Monitoring and Sampling Report presents the results of monitoring and sampling <br />' <br /> activities performed by Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc (Fluor Daniel GTI)at the subject site(Figures 1 and 2, <br /> Attachment 1) on March 22, 1998 A summary of activities conducted during this reporting period is <br /> provided below <br />' u Depth to water(DTW)was gauged in four site-related groundwater monitonng wells,MWA through <br /> MW-4 <br /> ■ Groundwater samples were collected from the four monitoring wells and submitted to a <br /> California-certified laboratory for analysis of benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX), <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline(TPH-G),and the oxygenates methyl-tert-butyl-ether <br />' (MTBE),tert-butanol (TBA), diisopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl-tert-butyl ether(ETRE), and tent-amylmethyl <br /> ether(TAME) <br />' Groundwater Monitoring Data <br />' Groundwater monitoring of the four wells was performed on March 22, 1998 Before monitoring,the well <br /> caps were opened to allow the water in each well to stabilize to atmospheric pressure The DTW was <br /> measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top of the well casing using an ORS Environmental Equipment <br />' INTERFACE PROBE T"Well Monitoring System <br /> A potentiometric surface map was prepared using the groundwater elevation data collected on <br />' March 22, 1998 (Figure 2) No separate-phase hydrocarbons (SP) were observed in the four groundwater <br /> monitoring wells during this monitoring event Based on the groundwater elevation data,groundwater flow <br /> is toward the south at a gradient of 0 002 fUft The groundwater monitoring results from the March 22, 1998 <br />' monitoring and sampling event and historical monitoring results are presented in Table 1 (Attachment 2) <br /> Field data sheets are included in Attachment 3 <br />' 757 Arnold Drive, Suite D / Martinez, CA 94553 USA (510) 3703990 FAX J5 10) 370 3991 <br /> tJ <br />
