FIRE PREVENTION PROGRAM <br /> The Fire Prevention Program at Vander-Bend informs employees of potential fire <br /> hazards and suggests ways to prevent fire hazards from occurring. Employees <br /> who recognize fire hazards should follow proper procedures to control them. Fire <br /> prevention training will be held during the general safety meeting upon new hire <br /> and then annually. Training in proper use of fire extinguishers will be conducted <br /> during the meeting. <br /> Potential Fire Hazards: <br /> Maintenance Area <br /> • All flammable liquids in 55-gallon containers must be grounded to <br /> code. <br /> • Flammable materials must be stored in a safety cabinet designed for <br /> flammable materials. <br /> • Rags, which have flammable residue, must be stored in a proper <br /> container. <br /> Quality Control <br /> • Store flammable liquids in a safety cabinet. <br /> The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintenance of equipment and <br /> systems installed to prevent or control ignitions or fires; and the Maintenance <br /> Supervisor is responsible for the control of accumulation of flammable or <br /> combustible waste materials. <br /> IIPP 01-21-2019 8 <br />
