Mr. Mike Makerov - 2 - 25 January 2017
four weeks later. If saturated soils are present in March, Central Valley Water Board staff
advise postponing the work until drier conditions are present.
Central Valley Water Board staff conditionally concur with the Work Plan provided the following
elements are implemented:
1) Transmit the LIF logs of the first two transects, a diagram of the boring locations for the
second two transects and the rationale to Central Valley Water Board staff for
concurrence.
2) Postpone the work plan implementation if soils are saturated.
3) Notify Central Valley Water Board staff of the work plan dates prior at least 7 days prior
to implementing field work.
The report of results will include interpretation and recommendations for follow-up work. If the
work proceeds in March, please provide a Report of Results by 5 May 2017. If weather delays
the work, Central Valley Water Board staff will revise the Report of Results schedule.
Thank you for proposing this technology for refining the assessment of diesel in the subsurface.
Central Valley Water Board staff look forward to seeing the fuel distribution through the lense of
laser induced flourescence.
