Kennedy/Jenks Consultants Program, upon which the manual is based, complies with current health and safety regulations, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, and CalOSHA Standards (8 CCR 5192). Many of the protocols of the corporate program are conducted on a routine basis (general training, respirator fit testing, general medical record keeping, etc.)and are not repeated herein. The Corporate Health and Safety Manual is available to K/J employees upon request during normal business hours. Questions regarding the program should be referred to the K/J Business Unit Health & Safety Manager(H&S Manager or Director of Health, Safety and Environment r(DHSE). A copy of this HASP, along with any addenda containing activity-specific health and safety information, will be kept in a conspicuous location at all times while work is being conducted at the site. All staff participating in field activities on BNSF property for this project will be required to have the following: • Proof of completion of BNSF Contractor within the last 12 months as provided by www.bnsfcontractor.com. • Kennedy/Jenks Consultants personnel, who work on BNSF property, will have completed the e-RAILSAFE System background check and the computer-based safety and security awareness training. • Form of government issued ID with photo • Proof of completion of Roadway Worker Protection (On-Track Safety)training within the last 12 months as provided by www.railroadeducationcom if work activities move within 25 feet of track centerline. As a basic safety requirement, Kennedy/Jenks personnel will not: • Operate, move, modify, or in any way touch railroad equipment • Operate construction machinery (e.g., backhoes, graders, etc.) • Walk, step, sit, or stand on a rail • Cross between rail cars or locomotives, or climb underneath or above rail cars to reach the other side of the track. A BNSF Contractor Safety Action Plan has been completed and has been submitted electronically. A copy of the Safety Action Plan is attached to this HASP (Appendix A). A copy of the BNSF Maintenance of Way (MOW) Operating Rules No. 11 and No. 12 (for work within 25 feet of track) is also included in Appendix A.
