Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> Program, upon which the manual is based, complies with current health and safety <br /> regulations, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response, and CalOSHA Standards (8 CCR 5192). Many of the protocols of the <br /> corporate program are conducted on a routine basis (general training, respirator fit testing, <br /> general medical record keeping, etc.)and are not repeated herein. The Corporate Health and <br /> Safety Manual is available to K/J employees upon request during normal business hours. <br /> Questions regarding the program should be referred to the K/J Business Unit Health & Safety <br /> Manager(H&S Manager or Director of Health, Safety and Environment r(DHSE). <br /> A copy of this HASP, along with any addenda containing activity-specific health and safety <br /> information, will be kept in a conspicuous location at all times while work is being conducted <br /> at the site. <br /> All staff participating in field activities on BNSF property for this project will be required to <br /> have the following: <br /> • Proof of completion of BNSF Contractor within the last 12 months as provided by <br /> www.bnsfcontractor.com. <br /> • Kennedy/Jenks Consultants personnel, who work on BNSF property, will have <br /> completed the e-RAILSAFE System background check and the computer-based <br /> safety and security awareness training. <br /> • Form of government issued ID with photo <br /> • Proof of completion of Roadway Worker Protection (On-Track Safety)training within <br /> the last 12 months as provided by www.railroadeducationcom if work activities move <br /> within 25 feet of track centerline. <br /> As a basic safety requirement, Kennedy/Jenks personnel will not: <br /> • Operate, move, modify, or in any way touch railroad equipment <br /> • Operate construction machinery (e.g., backhoes, graders, etc.) <br /> • Walk, step, sit, or stand on a rail <br /> • Cross between rail cars or locomotives, or climb underneath or above rail cars <br /> to reach the other side of the track. <br /> A BNSF Contractor Safety Action Plan has been completed and has been submitted <br /> electronically. A copy of the Safety Action Plan is attached to this HASP (Appendix A).
