0
Kennedy Jenks Consultants
Section 3: Labels and Other Forms of Warning
Each responsible employee will assure that all incoming products/chemicals are properly labeled.
Labels should list, at a minimum, the chemical identity(product identifier), specified pictogram, hazard
statement, signal word, and precautionary statement for each hazard class and category, and the name
and address of the manufacturer, importer, or other responsible party (supplier identification). Materials
transferred to working containers (e.g., dispensers or carrying containers) must also be properly
labeled.
If a staff member transfers chemicals from a labeled container to a portable container that is intended
only for her or his immediate use, no labels are required on the portable container. However, if the
container will be used by more than one person, it must be labeled with product identification and
hazard.
Hazard Communication Written Program
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants©, November 2013 Page 3
g:Ua mupWmtn4ob11311385020.00_bnsh profad %aapUflarhmentlf.i haze wmmu*atonprogramdac
