Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Diamond Walnut Growers Inc.
Dear Ms. Hinson:
As we discussed during our phone conversation of October 21, 1991, I am writing to present
a workplan for conducting additional assessment activities at the above referenced site.
Specifically, we propose to perform the following tasks:
1. Collection of water elevation data and samples from the three onsite monitoring
wells and three adjacent City wells. Each water sample will be submitted to a
State certified laboratory for analysis for total chrome and hexavalent chrome.
The three onsite wells will be purged in accordance with the attached Quality
Assurance/Quality Control Plan. Samples will be collected from the City wells
at the closest sampling port.
2. Additional data will be collected from published sources and municipal records
with respect to hydrogeologic conditions in the area, including information
regarding background chromium levels in the shallow water zone and the overall
chemistry in the deeper wells.
DWGLIIII.RWJ
