LABORATORY NARRATIVE <br /> ATL GC Application #32 <br /> Prim Environmental <br /> 1 Workorder# 0410429 <br /> Three Vial samples were received on October 19, 2004 The laboratory performed analysis of Methane via GC <br /> application#32 using GC/F1D The method involves transferring 5 gram of sample into a headspace vial The <br /> vial is then placed into HP7694 Headspace Autosampler equipped with oven, shaker and 1 mL sample loop <br />' Sample is incubated and then equilibrated at 40'C for 15 minutes with high agitation. Fuially, a direct infection of <br /> the headspace is performed See the data sheets for the reporting hmAs for each compound <br /> Receiving Notes <br /> There were no receiving discrepancies <br /> Analytical Notes <br /> The analysis is qualitative in nature because the analytical system was calibrated using gaseous standards that did <br /> not undergo the partitioning process performed in,the sample matrix <br /> Definition of Data Qualifying Flags <br /> Seven qualifiers may have been used on the data analysis sheets and indicate as follows <br /> B - Compound present in laboratory blank greater than reporting limit <br /> 1- Estimated value <br /> E- Exceeds instrument calibration range <br /> S - Saturated peak <br />' Q- Exceeds quality control hrruts <br /> U- Compound analyzed for but not detected above the detection timet <br /> M- Reported value may be biased due to apparent matrix interferences <br /> He extensions may have been used on the data analysis sheets and indicates <br /> as follows <br /> a-File was requantified <br /> b-File was quantified by a second column and detector <br /> r1-File was requantified for the purpose of reissue <br />' Page 2 of 7 <br />
